To suggest ways of efficiently mobilizing the funds, grants and other sources of revenue due to the Block Panchayat.

To examine the Block Panchayat's audit reports and audit objections, and to take the necessary follow-up action.
To ensure that the funds allotted for projects are utilized on time and in accordance with the law.
To give directions for reducing and controlling expenditure in order to prevent financial irregularities.
To ensure the financial management of the properties and assets under the Block Panchayat's ownership.
To carry out any other financial matters entrusted by the Block Panchayat Committee.
